Preview
- The weather was unbelievable! Leading up to the tournament, we have
had unseasonably warm weather. With a week of air temps in the 60's and
70's we knew the water would be warmer than normal for January.
Friday night Mother Nature sent us a weak cold front along with rain and
a few storms.
Blastoff - We left the ramp at 7:00 am and to fish in January and
not wear a coat is rare. The air temperature was in the low 60's
and what a better way to kick off the 2007 season.
Patterns - The winning bag of fish were caught on a c-rig on main
lake points with a channel swing in or near the point. Talking to other
anglers several other patterns were used. Some fish were caught on
spinnerbaits, crankbaits,soft plastics, and jigs. Typical of Hyco, once
the sun got bright, the fishing got harder. Thanks to all who came
to fish and we hope to see you next month at Jordan. |
