Win at Kerr
!!!!!!
I pre-fished two weekends before the tournament, water temps were in
the mid to upper 70's. The water level was 9-1/2 feet below normal. We caught a lot of 14 to 18 fish on top water. Two weeks later on tournament day we had our first hard cold front temps with morning in the
low 40's. Water temps consist mid 70's and lake levels still very
low! The top water bite was almost nonexistent but I managed to get three of my keepers on the top water [yellow magic popper]. My best fish 1-16 inch fish and 1- 18-1/2 fish came on a Texas rigged zoom shakyhead
worm. Both beside a big stump on an exposed point in mill creek!
Unlike last year the points race is not locked up yet. Todd Massey and Robert Boggs have a considerable but manageable lead! With two tournaments left anything is possible! There is an angler in the top five that has been known to make a late season run and will be doing he's home work at Hyco! |
