During 3 practice days I had discovered a shallow
pattern for solid 3 to 4 lb fish. Grass with
10 to 12 foot on the channel edge halfway back in
big creeks. There was also a unpredictable top
water bite and a unsteady timber bite with finesse
jigs. The fish were averaging 12 to 14 inches
at best. Came up Thursday with an open mind
that if they were not aggressive shallow that I
would search deep ledges on the main lake.
That's the move that paid off on Saturday.
Shallow fish were gone and at 11:30 with no fish I
moved to the ledges with a drop shot and a 4 in
worm. There were a total of 17 bass caught.
15 after 12:00 and 3 jack of course. Luckily 2
fish were very solid.
Hope we get some rain, see you at Kerr
lake.
