Well another
great tournament at Kerr. While practicing for the
tournament, I had noticed the water temperatures
were still in the upper 50's to low 60's so I knew
that some of the fish we were catching would hit
topwater. I caught a few fish in practice on a
buzzbait but the fish that I was catching were
quality fish so I decided to throw it Saturday.
With no sunlight on tournament day, I only picked up
one rod which had a buzzbait tied on it and threw it
all day long. I managed to catch 7 keepers on it
and culled out 1 smaller fish I caught earlier in
the day. Overall I had a good day at Kerr and it
seemed like everyone who showed up in the club
caught fish. I believe our 2 day Chowan River
tournament is next so I look forward to seeing
everyone there.
