I pre-fished Friday in Grassy and Beaver pond creeks. We only had three keepers, water temperatures where mid to upper 50s and color was dirty to my liking. Cloudy and windy pre-frontal conditions were the norm for most of the day.

I started out Saturday morning a little late by five minutes, thanks to my partner, but with high hopes. In three cast I had my 1st keeper on a buzzbait! I was culling at 9:30 with most fish on a Dave's spinnerbait, one on a jerk bait and the biggest on a fluke on shady side of dock in what little sun we had. The clouds and wind had them on my spinnerbait "double willows" not burning but at a fast steady retrieve. I stayed in Carter and Mill creeks all day. Looking forward to Mayo, hope to do some sight fishing! See you guys there!!
